CODY’S DEADLINE

Accidents happen. When you hear that phrase so frequently, it almost takes away the weight of what really happened– the challenges and trials those affected by an accident of any kind face. And you never think it’s going to happen to you. That’s what Cody Walker thought. He was on top of the world– a young, handsome father of two with a beautiful wife and a third baby on the way. He had just graduated from pharmacy school and they were preparing to buy a home and settle down. Then an accident happened. And it changed everything.
Cody was snowboarding with a group of friends in Lake Tahoe when he, a very experienced rider, went off a jump and hit the snow in just the wrong place. He crashed, and was instantly paralyzed. What happened next is a journey in devastation, determination, and eventually triumph. I am so grateful to the Walker family for sharing this special story with me and withHEART readers/viewers. Wait till you get a look at their latest addition– and her name: Goldie. I’m in love.
