All in favor of a brand spanking new client project reveal say “I”! I’ll just trust you’re saying “I” through the computer screen. Let’s proceed because this is a home you do not want to miss!
First, some background on the home. Project River Walk is a relatively new build for a young, growing family eager to make their house a home. They worked with another very talented designer, Sita Montgomery, during their building process and she did a beautiful job. Her work laid the groundwork for our process– furnishing the home and all of the finishing touches.
When you walk in from the entry, you go directly into a grand family room with an adjacent kitchen and dining. The ceilings are tall, the fireplace goes all the way to the ceiling, and the space needed a lot of furniture to help it feel rounded out and whole.
We wanted to contrast some of the cooler tones in building materials with a warm palette, so we went with camel leather, rust, marigold, and greige. I love the rich, deep tones. When designing a large room, I like all the seating to face each other to encourage conversation.
One of my favorite design elements in this room is the glass top side table. We styled it with a collection of vintage books as a sort of interesting display.
Next to the family room area is the kitchen. It has cool wood tones and two large black lantern pendants, so we let those features shine in the space and selected simple styling and low back leather counter stools.
Sita did a beautiful job designing the cabinetry! It was fun to put the finishing touches on this space. Next to the kitchen is a dining space.
The finished product feels warm, inviting, lived in, functional– all the things we love in a Stagg Design Home!

Absolutely love this. I really love the rugs you used and have been looking for some like these. Would you mind letting me know the source for these rugs? Thank you.
Hi there! It’s a trade resource, but I believe you can find it via Lulu & Georgia.
