Who’s ready for a client project reveal??? Boy, am I! We’ve had so many great client homes we’ve been working on and I’m excited to start sharing our team’s hard work. Today we’re kicking off Project Olympus Modern. This is a beautiful home nestled under Mt. Olympus in Millcreek, Utah. The owner is also the talented architect behind Blue Atlas Homes. You may remember the gorgeous Parade Home we did with Blue Atlas, as well as a custom Model Home. Their attention to detail is tough to match, so we were thrilled when they asked us to put the finishing touches on their personal home.
Believe it or not, this airy and bright space is actually the basement– if you can call it that. It’s a walk-out family room that we wanted to make comfortable and show some personality.
I love the pop of orange with the awesome swivel chair. It’s so unexpected and feels like the space would be vanilla without it. It’s counterbalanced by the hanging basket chair on the other side of the room.
Those bookshelves were so fun to style! We wanted color to really shine here, so we styled the books based on color instead of topic or size. We added in some fun client collections, like some model cars (our client used to design cars for a major manufacturer! He is unreal talented!)
Bookshelves are an opportunity to display things that are important to you, or show who you are. I had fun styling the mini model cars.
The family room has a cute kitchenette we styled with some entertaining pieces and a barstool to perch on while munching popcorn.
The artwork is an original piece from the client’s personal collection. It brought in just the perfect amount of orange we needed to tie everything together. We styled the space with some of the latest product drops in Stagg Design Shop. We have so many great pieces right now!
Want to pull together a similar look in your home? We’ve put together a design board inspired by this space below!
More spaces from this gorgeous home coming up! Thank you to Blue Atlas Homes for trusting us with your home. Tell us, what’s your favorite part?
