Project Desert Escape is a home made for hosting friends and family. A vacation home in hills overlooking the Southern Utah desert, every bedroom has views for days. We wanted every room to feel luxurious like a suite where visitors could feel instantly at home. Today I’m sharing the reveal for the bedroom we referred to as the Second Master Bedroom because of its size and views out the corner windows.
First, are you all caught up on this project? Be sure to check out the rest of the home’s reveals, along with the portfolio feature and the webisodes. Now, let’s dive back into our latest reveal: The Second Master Bedroom.
This room is tucked away in a private corner of the home. It’s quiet and peaceful, and we wanted it to feel serene. We were working with an existing bed that our clients wanted to repurposed, so that mellow brown velvet was our launching point for the space’s design. We also reused an existing leather lounge chair.
A Southwestern inspired rug added some drama, and our always calming Stagg Design Shop Brume Wallpaper in Dusty Pink was the perfect backdrop. It remains one of our best sellers.
In the corner we put a little reading nook with a comfortable leather chair. A large dresser provides some contrast and storage.
Every time I revisit this space to post a new reveal, I want to pack my bags and invite myself over. This home is such a dream.
We’ve been busy with several large client installations I can’t wait to share with you. Our design calendar has stayed busy through the pandemic, for which we are so grateful. Designing homes our clients love and cherish is our favorite.
