Off the main family room in our Project Modern Model lies a small home office space. Because this is a model home, our client Blue Atlas Homes didn’t want to do anything too permanent like built-in shelving. It presented a fun design challenge as we set out to set the stage for a sophisticated home office space without making any structural changes.
The design started with these super cool freestanding shelves. One of our team members is still talking about them as one of his favorite shelving options we’ve ever done.
We loaded them fall of thrifted books. Here’s a tip– if you’re trying to create a more neutral look, flip the book spines toward the back so the white pages are facing front. The covers still give a subtle pop of color but don’t become the focal point.
We kept the styling simple and clean with an art piece from a local artist, Christie Adelle. I love her work and uses it often in client projects.
We’ve been busy with back to back big projects and I’m excited to see more of our team’s hard work come to life in each home.
Have you checked out our new services section? It’s a good explanation of our design services, as well as an online form potential clients can fill out to start the conversation about their project. We’d love to hear from you! Working with clients is our favorite.
Also, set your alarms for our big Black Friday sale for Stagg Design Shop! We have some new products dropping that I am down right giddy about. Thanksgiving is almost here!
