Sometimes a home just needs to feel good. Design isn’t always scientific. When in doubt, I always go with my gut. My gut was the guiding force for this next space as our team worked hard to give this home an effortless, easy, kick-off-your-shoes-and-stay-awhile feeling. Ready for another gorgeous reveal from Project Western Roots? Let’s go!
In case you missed the first reveal from this space, back yo-self on up and check it out. Not only is it beautiful, but the first reveal post gives you some background on the clients, the home, and why we artfully went the direction we did.
Ok, now on to the kitchen! This space is adjacent to the family room and dining. It’s a really great mid-sized space with grand ceilings and rustic yet modern finishes.
We wanted to keep the color palette somewhat muted with this project, with beiges, blues, and dark leather, wood, and metal accents. The styling is both beautiful and uber functional.
The pieces we selected feel grown-up, yet relaxed and fresh at the same time. I think it’s because of the layered mixture of different styles. We added in some personal family heirloom artwork on the shelving which is so special.
We used some gorgeous Stagg Design Shop items in the kitchen, including our Stoneware Bowls, Terra Cotta Bowl, Marble and Wood Cutting Board, Terra Cotta Vases, Acacia Wood Cutting Board, Terrazzo Paper Towel Holder, Marble Pinch Pots, Charcuterie Wood Board, Blythe Tea Towels, Antique Brass 1 Tier Dish
A lot more western-rustic goodness from this project to share! Also coming up: the next phase of the Stagg Reno Laundry Room (have you seen part one yet?), Jenica Parcell’s little boy’s bedroom makeover (it’s so sweet!), and a look at the cutest Valentine’s party I’ve ever thrown for the girls. Happy February! The month of love is going to be a good one, I can feel it!
