When you think of a home theatre room, you might think it’s not doable for you. Maybe you don’t have a massive room, or maybe you don’t have a massive budget. For the parade home, we set out to create a luxurious home theatre space that was doable for the masses. I’m excited to show you the Parade Home Theatre Room today, and breakdown the design of the space.
The room wasn’t big enough to do true theatre seating with different levels, so we had to find a way to create our own theatre seating. We went with a set of three leather chaises on a “back row”, then two lounge chairs on the “front row.” The effect was exactly what we were looking for.
I know I’ll get a bunch of questions about the chaises (I already have!). They are unfortunately discontinued, but these are really similar, as are these.
In between the chaises and chairs, we put small cocktail style tables to rest drinks and snacks. I love the effect of the black floor lamps against the dark paint. It gives the room so much depth.
The modern movie posters are such a neat design element. They feel fresh, yet nostalgic. We had them printed oversized and they line the walls.
Going with that same theme, I love the popcorn machine we selected! This one has a similar vibe.
Brendon, the owner of Blue Atlas Homes, and I wanted very badly to hang out watching movies and munching on popcorn the whole parade. If you’re in the market for a modern home build, Blue Atlas is fantastic to work with and immensely talented.
Be sure to check out the rest of the Parade Home room reveals!
Happy Monday,
Jen
