Bedroom Update: The Impact of Art

Artwork is the icing on the cake. It’s the jewelry that pulls your whole outfit together. A beautiful piece of art ties your room together, makes a statement, and shares something about who you are. Need I go on? If you’re looking for a way to take your space up a notch in style and make it feel more complete, artwork is likely the answer.
At the beginning of the year, we gave our owner’s suite at the Stagg Reno a makeover with Better Homes & Gardens and Sherwin Williams. It was a bit of a whirlwind project, trying to hit a publishing deadline for the magazine and as such, I didn’t have a chance to find a piece of artwork for above the bed. We’ve been building our Stagg Design Shop artwork collection and when I saw The Coast of Maine, I knew it would be perfect for our bedroom.
One of the things I most proud of with our Stagg Design Shop Art Collection is that it pairs perfectly with all of our other pillows, fabrics, wallpapers and artwork. It’s also super affordable, sized to work with inexpensive frames like the one I used from IKEA for this spot. (you can watch how I did it on instagram today!) The canvas is such high quality, it looks like an original.
