There’s something fantastic about the prospect of a new year, isn’t there? A fresh 365, a feeling of starting anew and for me, the anticipation of goals and experiences that will shape and mold and stretch and expand my soul a bit closer toward the person I want to become.
Last year was a year of patience and a year of joy. Patience as I pressed through each day of a trying pregnancy, and pure joy as I held my first born in my arms. I accomplished many things, the most important being motherhood. Adding another little golden lady to my office shelf wasn’t so bad either. And as we forge into 2013, I am filled with wonder at what the new year will hold. I’ve always been one for resolutions, both big and small, and as I wrote out my list of hopeful accomplishments for the months ahead, I noticed a theme: reformation.
And my new little space online– this blog– is a place I hope to do some reforming. We are all multifaceted, with different interests and talents, and I hope to put a few more of those to use. And I hope you’ll join me. For “isn’t it nice to think that tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it…yet?” I just love me some Anne of Green Gables.
