I fancy a great throw pillow. I think it’s one of the easiest ways to add color, interest, pattern, and comfort to a space. But there is one thing I hate. A flat, dumpy, sad looking throw pillow that no matter how much you plump it, never quite comes out with the right poof to fabric ratio.
After trying many methods of pillow pooling (very technical term, there), I believe I have come up with a great formula for getting a pretty pillow every time. How do you do this, you may be asking? Well, this is how. Watch below (and watch for the blooper at the end!):

Here is a link to where I buy most of my throw pillow inserts (these are the insert sizes, not the cover sizes. Remember the trick to get a bigger size insert than cover from the video!):
They do offer other sizes as well, but these are the sizes I use more frequently. I’ve tested a bunch of sources, and they are they highest quality for the lowest price I’ve found. I hope it’s helpful!
Here’s to comfortable and pretty pillows for all!
What a cute video! I have always wondered what the trick to the little indent staying at the top of the pillow is and now I know. I never thought of using down pillows for inserts. Thanks! Although, I don’t actually use most of throw pillows 🙂

May I please find out where you purchased the fur white pillow?
The pillow is from West Elm! Thanks for reading!
I love all of your pillow covers. Where do you like to shop for them? I am looking for some fun, bright colored pillows for my girls’ room.
Hi Jennifer! I was wondering if you could tell me where the gray sectional is from that is this video? It looks different from the one you currently have from zgallerie. Thanks!
Hi Natalie! The only gray sectional I have is the one in the family room from Z Gallerie. There is another gray couch in the video– it’s velvet. You can read all about it HERE. Thanks for reading!
Thanks! That’s the one! Love the lines of that sofa! Great find! And good to know that the “otter” velvet is more of a gray in person than the brown it looks online at westelm. Thanks again!
