I’ve always been someone to just go for it when it comes to goals, but I recently started into a new venture that has me feeling all kinds of terrified/excited/nervous/thrilled… basically every emotion packed into one. Stagg Design.
It’s long been a dream of mine to create my own products. I constantly have ideas and patterns swirling around in my brain. I thought this dream was far off in the future, but after being approached by some really wonderful business partners, Jon and I knew this was our year to make it a reality. Things really kicked into high gear when Better Homes and Gardens requested to photograph our house and profile our family and me in two different magazines (October Better Homes and Gardens on shelves now and Stylemaker out beginning of Oct!). You can’t buy that kind of publicity, so we rushed to narrow down color ways, designs, and pushed to get samples ready to go by the shoot date earlier this year. I’ll share more details about the magazine features soon. Talk about a whirlwind!

We launched officially on September 15, on the day BHG hit newsstands, and celebrated with a small launch party here in Salt Lake at the Leonardo Museum.
It feels like I’m having two babies– the tiny girl in my tummy that will make her debut soon, and the fledgling company!
Our initial launch includes fabrics, pillows, and a few home accessories. In the coming weeks, we will be adding to it significantly to include wallpapers, more fabrics and pillows, and a lot more accessories. I hope you’ll look at the shop and follow our news and releases. I can’t wait to start seeing our products in the place you hold most dear– your home.
I can’t thank each and every person who has followed my journey in design and diy enough. Every comment, every click, every bit of feedback is greatly valued. I just love all of you! (here we go with the pregnancy tears!)
Congratulations! You are my favorite blogger! I miss your DIY posts
Thank you so much, Tom! This baby and the business launch has sucked a lot of my time, but I do have a lot of DIY posts planned!
Hi Jen,
Congratulations on your new venture!
Can you tell me anything about the distressed leather sofa in the 2nd picture on this page?
