When the ladies from Sweet Little Peanut asked me what kind of post I wanted to see on their sweet site, I said simply real mommy moments. Those precious times that only a mother gets to see– when your sweet babe is curled up on your lap, or when you’re rocking them to sleep, or feeding them breakfast– those, to me, are sacred. As mothers, we have the privilege of witnessing those times. And while the house may not be clean, or you may look like you were caught off guard by a tornado, those minutes are fleeting. Before I know it, my one-year-old will be asking for the car keys on her way out the door. And so, whenever she wants me to read her a story, a story we will read.
I’m so grateful to the oh so talented and kind Heather Nan for capturing my real mommy moment. This is how we spend most mornings: me with my hair up in a messy bun, no makeup, and in the most comfortable thing I can find. Ruby’s eyes filled with wonder and joy, and mine occasionally filled with a tear or two. I just love this sweet girl so much.
You can read about my Real Mommy Moment, and the other gorgeous women and children they are featuring here. Thank you, SLP!
Let us all do less staging of our lives and embrace all that is perfect about the imperfection in motherhood.
Those ‘real mommy moments’ make it all worth it, don’t they?! These images are so sugary sweet and you both look gorgeous.
xoxo,

Such a pleasure to spend time with you and Ruby… thank you!
