I truly love decorating for each holiday. It makes our home feel so warm and festive if we add in a few seasonal pieces. I also love using pieces that we can display year round without them feeling too holiday specific, if we want to keep them out.
One of my very favorite art sources, Minted, asked me to create a love inspired gallery wall and I knew the perfect spot in the #staggreno to put it.
In the great room, we have a little corner that needed some sprucing up. It’s the room we spend the most time in, so I wanted to have something sentimental and personal.
So sad and boring and lonely. But not for long!
I selected the art I wanted from Minted and it was tough to narrow it down. However when I saw these Foil-Stamped Maps by GeekInk Design, I knew I had to get the Utah print. Utah is not only where Jon and I met and fell in love (we also both grew up here), it’s where we got married and where both of our babies were born. We have lived in other states, but Utah will always have our hearts. And seriously, isn’t it gorgeous? You can order any state.
Next I found this Rubescent Array print by Naomi Ernest. It was the perfect pop of understated red/pink/coral. I think it would also be beautiful in a large scale print, don’t you?
Finally this Flourished Forever Heart Foil-Stamped Art by Sam Dubeau was the perfect statement. I love adding a few words with meaning and these are my people forever and ever.
I added in a couple of photos– one of Jon and I from several years ago, and one of us with miss Ruby when we was a little 2 year old. Sniffle sniffle.
I always like to lay out a gallery wall on the floor next to the wall first to get a feel for how it is going to come together.
Here’s how it all came together:
Minted’s new frame options have upped my art game. I loooove them.
I’ve been busy making Valentine’s for Ruby’s preschool and dance buddies. Watch for them on instagram!
