The living room at the #Staggreno is the first room that greets you when you walk in the house. I’m happy to report it’s undergone a major transformation and today I’m sharing the living room reveal!
As is tradition around here I like to gross you out before I wow you, so let’s begin at the beginning. I give you the before video and photos:
This room is deceptively large. In fact, it eats furniture. It felt so closed off from the rest of the house and had a pretty small entrance. As it was, we would have never spent any time in there. I had the idea to knock down the wall leading into the room and it completely transformed it.
Other changes: we put in the hardwoods, new window, and kept that amazing Art Deco granite fireplace which is original to the house. I know you’re disappointed, but the curtains didn’t make the cut.
I so love how it came together. And so friends, I present to you the new living room!

Just a minor improvement, eh? My favorite part of these photos is a little Anna playing in the playroom nearby. Now this is a room everyone in our home enjoys– both our family and our guests. It flows openly with the rest of our home and just feels so bright and airy.
Here are a few sources for you:
chairs | side table | accent table | coffee table: custom | sofa: vintage | daybed: vintage | mirror | rug | floor lamp | artwork
Up tomorrow I’m sharing this space, and a few others in our home, all holiday decked out. It’s time for the holiday home tour! Can’t wait to share it with you!
