We are finishing up baby steps in our kitchen remodel. I say baby, because it’s not moving nearly as quickly as I hoped it would, but little by little we are getting there.
One big step that is now complete: installing new under cabinet lighting. Under cabinet lighting is one of those things you might not think about, but once you have it, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it. It can take your kitchen from basic to wow, with a simple flick of a switch.
We are working with an existing kitchen, rather than starting from scratch, so it was a little bit tricky. But, we figured a way around the walls and structure and I’m so thrilled with the outcome. Here is the tutorial for how to install under cabinet lighting!

Painting is in full swing. Update coming soon.
I work at a lighting showroom and we sell that brand! 🙂 Great tutorial! Puck lights are great
Thank you Jessica!
Hi, I just found your video on this today. Do you think a layperson can do this? Would I have to have any special knowledge? Where can I find very specific instructions? You have given me hope that I might be able to get a few things done! Thanks!!
Hi there, thanks for watching! I think a lay person can do it, it’s not super complicated. The video has instructions for how to accomplish the project. Thank you!
What brand lights are those? I’ve been looking for a box that looks like that, but no luck. Hoping to get this DIY project done soon!
Hi there, I can’t remember the brand name. We ordered them from a lighting specialty store locally. Best of luck!
