An Earthy Table Setting: Styled x3

July 8, 2015

I love entertaining and hosting gatherings.  The temptation is sometimes to think you have to spend a fortune decor.  Today’s post shoots down that theory and gives you a little peek  makes the new dining area in the #staggreno.

My sweet friend, Stacy from Not Just a Housewife, has a series where she chooses an item, then asks two other bloggers to style the same project, therefore showing three ways to style the same item.  She calls it Styled x3.

The third blogger participating in this round is one I adore: Brooke from All Things Thrifty.  If you don’t already follow these lovely ladies, I suggest you start.  They are not only talented, but also just the nicest people in person.  My favorite combination.

She asked me if I wanted to participate quite a while ago, but with everything we have going on, I told her July and when these sweet floral dinner napkins arrived in my mailbox, it was just he push I needed to put together an earthy table setting on the cheap using items I already had on hand.

For the napkins, I folded them in a different way to spice things up, then placed them in between the dinner and salad plates to add color to my simple white dishes.

Easy peasy.

The runner brightens up the wood table, the tray with succulents and a vase act as a centerpiece and the antlers fill the void for a smaller table setting of four.

This is our first legit dining table ever.  We had a hand-me-down table when we first got married, “upgraded” to a vintage set, then another vintage set, and when we finished the dining space we knew it needed something special.

Here are a few links for the dining space:

Thanks Stacy for including me on a fun challenge and giving me an excuse to dress up the table.

You’re so talented, Jen! I get so much inspiration from you. I’m always going on your blog to watch tutorial videos and remodeling/design ideas (we’re in the middle of remodeling our condo like you did with your previous house, room by room) And I’m so excited to see your new house! I can’t wait!
