This post is from our Stagg Design project archives and originally posted in April 2015. We hope it gives you inspiration and some tips for tackling that next project! xx- Team Stagg
I get asked all the time about working with contractors.
How to find a good one, how to know you’re getting a fair price, referrals, you name it. We have worked with some wonderful contractors and some not so wonderful ones, but my advice for working with them has helped us maintain great relationships with the great ones. (Isn’t it crazy to see the roof all open like that?)
Baby Anna makes a cameo in this video as I share my tips for working with contractors:
Video/Editing: James Young
James is right– it has worked on photographers for years. How do you think I won him over? (And continue to do so:) Hope you find my advice helpful!
xx,
I am so impressed that you are juggling a major renovation with a newborn! You are amazing. Just thought you should know. 🙂
What a kind thing to say, thank you so much! You made my day. I think I’m more crazy than amazing 😉
Feed them!! I learned that a long time ago during our remodels. It’s amazing how much more work gets completed because the workers have been energized with some fried chicken and cold sweet tea! Enjoying your blog and remodel. Thanks for sharing sweet little Anna, what a blessing! : )
Agreed! And thank you for your sweet words! xx
I know I am jumping the gun on this, but I am dying to see a post on your black windows once they are finished! Will there be one?
I’m dying to see them too! I promise the post will come, as soon as they are finished 🙂
