We revealed this basement family room from Project Modern Family just last week and it’s receiving so much love! And boy, does it deserve it! We are excited to share with you our first “Get the Look” where we have sourced everything you’ll need to recreate this space.
The idea behind the design was to create a fun relaxing space for them while it not feeling like a dark typical basement. We’ve chosen to use durable fabrics, indoor/outdoor rugs and plenty of textural elements to add interest to the space.
Combining durable materials with playful and cozy textual components like the leather ottoman, really warms the space up. We’ve also used our Stagg Design pillows for added pops of color, texture, and pattern. It’s now easier than ever to get the look by shopping our product pairings. Shop the Indigo Accent Pillow Pairing trio here or complete the look with the Make Yourself At Home Product Pairing.
No space is complete without some greenery! We’ve sourced a carefree, no maintenance, faux fiddle leaf fig tree to give height and color to the space. Next step was to add in accessories and fun artwork. The ferris wheel print is a whimsical yet simple piece that ties everything together.
For accessories we love to use cozy throws, natural elements like wood bowls for more textural contrast and some adorable marble book ends to tie in more of the blue theme we have throughout this project.
Another way to bring in warmth is to mix metals, especially brass. We tied in some brass based lamps and console table to be continuous with the brass sconces and brass based counter stools used in the neighboring kitchen. To add some personal touches to the space for the client we found these adorable monogrammed mugs and coasters to finish off their space. Another addition was a Salt Lake City Limits Print we’re loving from our new art collection.
We are in love with this Modern Family home and we hope you are too!
