Our Project Desert Escape is a home made for entertaining. It’s wide, open spaces and easy vibe allow for large gatherings and plenty of memories to be made.
First, have you checked out the webisode from this space? It’s a good watch! And don’t forget to catch up on the rest of the revealed spaces from this home. I wouldn’t mind an afternoon spent diving into all of the Project Desert Escape details.
Ok, on to the newest space reveal! Today I’m excited to share the Downstairs Kitchen with you. It’s a full second kitchen on the lower level of the home, adjacent to a family room and game table area.
The tile backsplash is a showstopper. I really wanted a strong statement with some Southwestern feels. The high contrast black and white is bold, but doesn’t feel overwhelming.
Don’t you just love those giant basket pendants? We wanted something grand to balance the space out, and the baskets warm it up. Without some natural elements, the room would feel cold. This sets the perfect tone.
The island doubles as a dining table, with the asymmetrical branch out. It’s the perfect place for card games or pizza night.
This home is full of surprises. One of my favorites is the hidden doorway that leads to what we referred to as the “kid zone”. Can’t wait to share that space soon!
Every time I’ve looked at this project lately, all I can think is how happy it makes me to know our clients are enjoying every inch of it during isolation. I would be all on board with isolating here!
I hope you’re all hanging in there! We had a rough day yesterday but I’m determined to make today a good one, challenges of isolation or not. Stay tuned for much more from this gorgeous home! And you can follow the hashtag #projectdesertescape on social media to see more of the behind the scenes.
The stairs looks nice and well designed.
Thank you so much!
