We’re entering one of my favorite months for decorating: July. Something about this middle-of-summer month makes me want to run around barefoot in the sunshine and give my home and yard that carefree, fresh, summertime feel. Here are my picks for July decor.
I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite summertime images from around the web, as well as some of my favorite products to help you achieve the same look and most importantly to me, the same feel.

Did you just audibly sigh when you looked at this image? I did. Nothing says summer nights more than twinkle lights. I think every patio/deck/outdoor space has a place for them. I loooooove string lights. (Remember how we put them on our deck at our last home? There’s a whole video tutorial!) I’ve linked up a few of my favorite string light options.
These are a great source if you want to leave them up year round. String lights with snow? Dreamy, right? And they’re major on sale.
I looooove these for that vintage feel and mood that you envision at an outdoor event. They’re one of my favorite string light sets.
I pretty much think these twinkle lights are the coolest. We have a big tree in the back that I’m itching to wrap in these. I mean, how magical?
These may be my favorite of the bunch. The shape casts the prettiest patterns of light and they add such a special touch.

Ok, moving on to planters. Gimme all the pretty planters! I’m turning into a crazy plant lady. It’s just such a simple way to add interest, freshness, prettiness, all the good things to an outdoor or indoor space! Here are some favorite planters I’ve loved this season.
Take my word for it, you all need this planter. I have two of them and they are my favorite outdoor planter. They’re so versatile and have such an interesting shape.
I do not have one of these but I want one reeealllllll bad. Aren’t they so beautiful? Note: these are indoor use only, so go get a fiddle leaf and fill one up!
These are amazing and they are indoor/outdoor. I love them very much.
Ok, these are like the coolest outdoor planters. I love the large and the small stacked against each other. You guys, they would be awesome against a house or a fence. How smart. And they’re on sale. Brilliant.
If you’re looking for some small planters to add interest to an outdoor coffee or side table, dining space, or indoor area, look no further than these cute little guys.
Can we just talk about lanterns for a second? I love them outdoors for the obvious reasons (mood lighting, decor, etc) but I also think they translate year around. Leave them on your front porch in the fall and winter, put them next to a fireplace or on a coffee table indoors. So many uses. Of course they are gorgeous lighting a summer path or hanging in a tree as well.
Here are some of my favorite lanterns lately.
These are amazing and you can’t beat that price! Love them alongside the large version too.
I just think these are super super cool. How amazing lining a path, or acting as a sort of outdoor floor lamp. Love them.
I love the shape of these. Simple, understated, and go with really any style. And they can cross seasons well.
I’ve used these both indoors and outdoors for design clients and they are really great in person.
You can turn any lantern into a hanging light with these smart lantern stakes. Any outdoor gathering could use these!
And just for added cool comfortable vibe, don’t forget to add a throw or two in case it gets a little chilly. Here are two of my favorite options.
These go with literally everything. And they are, as the name implies, super cozy.
Come on, these are so cute! And come in four colors! And stripes!
There you have it folks, easy and inexpensive ways to bring July decor to life at your home.
Now excuse me while I cozy up outside on a summer night.
Nice Job Jen!
