Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and weekend! Holidays with children are so magical and this one was no exception.
Ruby has a deep love for fairies these days so her costume was a no-brainer. I toyed with making it, but honestly, this pregnancy is kicking my trash, so I opted to buy one. I wanted it to be one-of-a-kind and Easy was the perfect answer. A simple search for “toddler fairy costume” and dozens of beautiful options appeared. I settled on one handmade by a very talented seamstress. I had a few questions about sizing and colors and she was great to work with, customized it for Ruby’s size, and even sent pink wings, a wand, and “fairy spray” to make the skirt sparkle. Ruby was no doubt the fluffiest fairy on Halloween night and she loved every second of it.
I found the flower headband at H&M, along with the gold slippers. The tights and leotard are both Capezio found at a local costume shop.
We spent the night with some dear friends trick-or-treating and Ruby had the time of her life running from house to house. She would excitedly say “thank you!” then turn around and proudly pronounce “good one!” as she showed us her treat. I died from cuteness.
She and her buddies were a whole lot of cute! Meet Wonder Woman, the “Good” Pirate, the Egyptian Princess, and Fairy Ruby.
We are so blessed to have wonderful friends for Ruby to grow up with. I’ve been reflecting so much lately on holidays and traditions. What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Halloween memories are the best! My daughter is long grown, but your pics brought back so many wonderful memories of trick-or-treating with friends. And, oh the costumes! So much fun! ~Julie
