Hey, remember how we completely transformed #projectpaintitall by basically tearing out all the bad (including the gnome garden wallpaper) and then we made it into a modern, fresh, beautiful kitchen, dining, and family room space? Today I’m getting into some of the design details.
Warmth is key to a mostly white space and adding in some wood elements, a colorful rug, and beautiful pillows did just the trick with #projectpaintitall. If you love color, like I do, you need to have white as your base. Neutrals allow you to add in bold color without your room looking all Rainbow Bright’s Dance Club.
My client wanted to keep things simple with styling, but make a statement. The combination of the bold rug, the warmth of the coffee table, and the pillows made for a perfect combination.
The live edge coffee table is custom. I found an amazing craftsman on a local classified site (contact me if you want more info) and not only have used him more than once for clients, but I had him make a crazy-good piece for my own home (more on that coming soon). I love how it feels so special in the space, but it’s also super practical.
If you’re dying over that rug, I hate to say it’s not available anymore. So, I thought I would give you a roundup of some similar rugs that are lovely and don’t break the bank.

Love how this space came together and that coffee table is beautiful! Do you mind sharing where their sectional is from?

Such a beautiful space
Thank you sweet Julia!
Could you please show me a picture of your garage doors against the house. Would love to see more pictures of your exterior. We are painting our exterior. Thank you.
Hi Karmen, I’ve been waiting for all of the snow to melt and some yard work to be done before I show that angle, but if you scroll through my instagram, you’ll see some shots of my exterior. Hope that is helpful!
