5 things you need right now

Happy day before the Solar Eclipse! Have any fun plans? I finally got my hands on some solar glasses so we are ready to roll for a little kid-friendly viewing party. It will be at about 91% here in Utah and we are excited!
Today’s 5 Things You Need Right Now centers around back to school. We are just a week and a day to go until our favorite 5-year-old starts kindergarten (!!!!) and we are both excited and sad. It’s a lot of emotions around here. Here’s my list of the 5 things you need right now for back to school:
- Week Chart. Organization and lists both have my heart. This chart is so simple yet so handy. Use it for homework, chores, daily to-dos, menus, etc. This version is a different setup, but also great. My girls do so well with charts and designated rewards. And it’s magnetic. Everyone needs this in their lives. And don’t forget, you’ll need these chalk markers too.
2. Lunchtime Notes. I love these so much. Little notes you drop in your child’s lunch as a little surprise that have jokes on them to make all of their classmates giggle. I mean, how cool is that? They’ll automatically be able to make friends!
3. Bento Box and Lunchbox. Ruby has long been using her bento box and lunch box combo from Pottery Barn. It’s so practical and cute. We take it everywhere from playdates to picnics. And they come in a million colors and patterns for each child’s preference.
4. Fruit/Veggie Cutters. These darling little cutters turn cheese, fruit, veggies, you name it, into cute shapes. I also love the sandwich cutters and these brilliant silicone snack tubes.
5. This jumpsuit. Now something for you, moms. Basically it’s pajamas but looks like real clothes. I wore it recently to my husband’s high school reunion and got so many compliments yet it literally feels like you rolled out of bed. So flattering (and it’s on sale!). Perfect for school drop off when you have just a few moments to take off your bathrobe and throw something on. With sunglasses of course because ain’t nobody have no time for makeup and real clothes that early. AmIright? That’s just overachievement.

Does the Pottery Barn bento box leak from compartment to compartment – crumbs or moisture from the carrots makes crackers soggy?
Hi! It has one closed container, but the rest to leak a bit. I usually use snack plastic baggies if needed.
