The COVID-19 Pandemic has forced all of us to adapt our lives. For many parents with children, that includes more schoolwork happening at home. Jennifer Borget is a mom of 3 who never expected to be a “home school mom”, but she found herself on that path several years ago. She’s joining Jen on Heart of the Home podcast to share some of her best tips for learning at home. They’re also talking about gardening, homesteading, and Jennifer’s unique perspective as a black woman and the wife of a white police officer.

Jennifer has been homeschooling her kids in one form or another for the past couple years. Throughout her journey, she’s learned lots of tips and tricks. She has many resources on her blog to help people who are starting their own journey with homeschooling.
Jennifer has also been very open about her journey developing the backyard of her dreams. She’s getting into gardening, homesteading, and recently installed a DIY backyard pool that would be perfect for anyone on a hot summer day.
As a black woman, the mom of biracial children, and the wife of a white police officer, Jennifer has interesting perspectives on the tensions surrounding race and police brutality in our country right now. She recently shared this post about the organizations working to uplift black lives and help bridge the gap between police and the communities they serve.
