#Staggreno Master Bathroom Reveal

September 29, 2015

Forgive my absence yesterday.  It was my wedding anniversary and Jon and I spent the whole day enjoying quality time with the girls and it was delightful.

It’s a big day, folks!  It’s #staggreno master bathroom reveal day!  You guys, this room is the stuff of dreams– my dreams, in fact.  But before we get into too many details, let’s take a walk back in time…. to 1970 when this bathroom was all the rage.  (You can watch the before video tour of the bathroom and bedroom HERE)

The old bathroom was really small, narrow, old, and awkward.  The ceiling on the shower was short and my tall husband would have bumped his head stepping inside.  There was really no way to salvage it.

Rather than try to build a new bathroom in the old space, we went all switch-a-roo and moved the room around.  The new bathroom is where the old master closet was.  You can see more of the progress in photo and video form HERE.

After an addition to the master bedroom, a relocation of the master bath, a new window and all new fixtures, here is the end result.  Let’s start with the video tour of the new room, shall we?

There is so so much to share about this space (all coming this week!) and I’ll break down all the details, including more about how part of the bathroom was a collaboration with Kohler(!), but until then here is product information:

*All hardware/fixtures are Vibrant Moderne Brushed Gold color. Vanity finish is Jersey Oak.

Up tomorrow: the week of the master bathroom continues with all of the details on the vanities, mirrors, and fixtures.

Off topic: special thanks to Remodelista and many others for the shoutouts and love after the kitchen reveal!  It’s so humbling and we are so grateful.

Until tomorrow, friends….

  1. Perfection! I love all of the gold and am obsessed with those crystal towel hooks 🙂

  2. Michelle in Michigan says:

I’m not a huge fan of gold or brass accents in general but this is fabulous!!! I love it!! Congrats on a beautiful spa (too nice to call a bathroom), enjoy it…. a bit disappointed not to see the green carpet on the floor though (um, yuck…)

  3. sarah dorsey says:

  7. It’s beyond gorgeous. It’s my dream bathroom!

  8. Philly Lass says:

Love, love, love the rustic stool by the tub. Where is it from?

  9. Your bathroom is just stunning! I’m so into the mix of bright white, shiny gold, and warm wood. So so beautiful. And happy anniversary! Your family is too adorable! When do I get to see you again?! 😉

  10. Kat says:

Love the fixtures! Have been thinking about the same ones for our powder room but we don’t have any way of comparing the purist in brushed moderne gold and the brushed bronze. Were you able to compare the two in person or at least get a look at the finish? Want to order them but not sight unseen considering their price. Love the moderne gold but think it might be too GOLD, if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing your home- everything is gorgeous!

    • Jen says:

Hi Kat, thank you so much! I did look at the two in person and they are both beautiful. I just really loved the gold for this space. It is very gold, but has the most beautiful tone. I don’t know if that helps! xx

  11. emily says:

love all the gold details. a great mix of masculine and feminine!

  12. Jenna Hagan says:

Where did you get the tile???

  13. […] I’m inspired by this tub. We’re starting to plan for our master bath remodel in the spring and  this tub is my numero […]

  14. Caroline says:

I love your bathroom and have been planning for a remodel almost identical. I have been stuck on what to do for the shower enclosure. We are taking out a spa tub and putting in a walk-in shower. Mine will be shaped exactly like yours, seat and all. Frameless is so expensive. Can you tell me the brand/company/store you used for your glass enclosure (walls and door)?

    Thank you!

  15. Lindsay says:

Love your bathroom! Where did you get the shower door parts to match the fixtures? I’m having a hard time finding a shower door with a finish that will match. Thanks!

    • Jen says:

Thank you so much! I ordered the door hardware through the glass company who manufactured it. It took some work to try to find something that was perfect, but it turned out great. I used Dixon Glass locally in Utah.

  16. Christian says:

I am looking for a very similar vanity for my midcentury modern master bath. Can you please tell me where/who so I can give them a peek?

  17. Katie Estes says:

    Hi, beautiful bathroom!

I am using a similar color tile in mine and was wondering what type of grout you used.

    Thanks

  18. casie says:

    Beautiful!!
What is the tile used? Where did you get it?

  19. Shannon says:

Hi. What are all the tiles you used and paint color. Thank you
