TODDLER FOOD AND PARTY PACK GIVEAWAY WITH PAISLEY PALOOZA

A great get together is all in the details.  It’s the little extras that make all the difference.  I’m always on the lookout for cute party supplies and paper goods and when planning Ruby’s party, I wanted something different than the norm, yet practical and kid-friendly.  Enter Paisley Palooza.

Paisley Palooza is an online shop run by a darling girl named Becky with some of the cutest paper goods I’ve found.  I had a few dietary restrictions for the Pow Wow, as Ruby has a dairy allergy.  I wanted her to be able to eat everything there.  I have to tell her no so often, I wanted to only tell her yes to food at the party.  It was all for her, after all.  On the menu for the Pow Wow:

1)  Peanut butter sandwiches, cut lovingly into the shape of teepees.

2)  Fruit Roll-Ups

3)  Watermelon slices

4)  Candy

5)  Juice Boxes

6)  Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

7)  Vegan Chocolate Cake

8)  Coconut Ice Cream

All of her favorite foods.  I picked up the cookies from Whole Foods (have you tried their vegan cookies?  You guys.  They bake them fresh every day and they taste like the real deal.  Even Jon likes them, and that’s saying something).  Coconut ice cream is also from Whole Foods.

I can’t say enough good things about the cake.  Chocolate ganache with “buttercream” frosting.  I ordered it from a bakery called City Cakes and Cafe, in Salt Lake.  They specialize in vegan and gluten free and honestly, no one could tell it was vegan until I mentioned it.  It was so delicious!  And look how cute it is!  Bravo to City Cakes!  To serve it with ice cream, I knew a plate just wouldn’t do.  Toddlers and messy foods are no bueno.  When I spotted these food boats, I knew they would be perfect.

Now, to how I served all of it!  First, I spotted these adorable trays and knew they’d be a hit.  I used them in place of plates.  So smart– they are large and have a lip, and also have a sort of school/craft feel which I thought was adorable.  I LOVE these trays.

For candy, I set out these cute sacks next to the candy bowl, along with a big spoon.  The kids could scoop up a variety into their bags.  They were so cute all walking around with their jelly beans and chocolate bags.

I used the cute twine for some of the party favors and balloon strings, and what’s a party without striped straws?  The adults used them for soda and water.

(Are you dying over the vintage bar cart?  Post all about it coming next week!)

I love all of this! We’ve been loving vegetarian baking lately. I just started dipping my toes into it. I’m planning a very late first birthday for my baby. Her birthday is the day after Christmas and we just moved…so we didn’t know anyone really yet. It’s going to be airplane themed. I’m really excited! As you said, all of those items are so cute and would really help out for our own kid friendly party. Thanks for this week series. It’s made me so excited for our own party.
