Sugar Plum Fairy Party 2017

December 18, 2017

It’s now a tradition– our annual Stagg Sisters Sugar Plum Fairy Party.  This is our third year hosting a gaggle of giggling little girls dressed in tutus and tights and it may be my favorite party of the entire year.  What, I ask you, is cuter than little girls dressed as ballerinas dancing with a real life profesh Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutcracker?  WHAT?  Nothing, that’s what.

The excitement in the air was palpable as Ruby and Anna waited by the door for our Sugar Plum fairy to arrive.

Once she did, pure magic ensued.  Each little darling got a ballerina crown and a sprinkle of fairy dust from the Sugar Plum Fairy’s wand.

Once each tiny dancer was crowned, it was down to business– the business of dancing, that is.

The girls learned a short routine then performed in groups.  All kinds of adorable happened.

All that dancing worked up an appetite of pizza, cupcakes, and then some necklace making was in order.

But let’s be real, the Sugar Plum Fairy was the star of the party.

Childhood is magical, isn’t it?  My girls will have plenty of time to be grown ups later.  I’ll soak up every second of tulle and glitter and ballet while I can.

You can see our 2015 and 2016 parties as well.  Each one has been a bit different but equally as glittertastic!

Less than a week till Christmas, ya’ll!  Let’s squeeze in every bit of spectacular we can!

  1. I am new to this blog, but one of the pictures in this post really caught my attention. There is a Christmas tree advent calendar in the background of one of the pictures that looks just like the ones my church (in North Carolina) makes and sells for our annual Christmas Bazaar. Any chance you have a North Carolina connection?

Hello! My sister in law made the advent calendar for all of her siblings one year, as it looks just like one they had as children. Ironically, we also had one in our home when I was little that was very similar. Maybe Utah and North Carolina banded together to create magical advent calendars:)
