First, thank you so much for your response to the back deck reveal! It was a big undertaking, and we are so happy to have it complete. We have eaten outside almost every single night since it was finished. I’m always amazed how much more I enjoy a space once it’s both functional and beautiful. It’s like I can breathe easier at home.
Today I’m sharing all the juicy details on the deck’s finishing touches. Let’s start with the color palette.
The deck is just off of our kitchen, dining, and family room so I wanted it to flow nicely and truly feel like an extension of our home, not a separate space. I selected a similar scheme, but went heavier with teal, with bright zings of coral and white, and touches of navy, gold, and grey. I selected the Hampton Bay Fall River Dining Set from Home Depot in the neutral grey/beige color. The rug is Home Decorators from Home Depot and it’s an indoor/outdoor rug that can be used in many different spaces. Then I started searching for throw pillows to give the space a pop.
I don’t know if you’ve looked for outdoor fabric lately, but it’s really hit or miss. I started looking on Etsy for pre-made pillow covers in pretty outdoor fabrics and I stumbled across Willa Skye Home. The shop has the most beautiful selection of pillows, and as I was putting the patterns together, I wrote the seller to see if she had anything that would work. She wrote me right back and sent me some fabric options that weren’t listed on the shop and I fell in love with them! I asked her if she could make a table runner for me out of coordinating fabric, and she whipped it right up. I also requested a smaller pillow cover for an extra throw pillow for a nook, and she made that custom as well. I love when sellers are so accommodating and easy to work with. Every pillow in the space came from this shop. Keep reading for an amazing giveaway from Willa Skye Home!
The hanging lanterns are also from Home Depot and I love them so much! More on them soon as well. The white lanterns and teal tea light votive I found at Homegoods. The white milk glass vases are antiques.
The dishes (similar), glasses (sold out), and pitcher are from the JcPenney Happy Chic Collection (on clearance!). The square tray is West Elm. Cake Stand, round vases (coral and teal), and Ice Box are Oh Joy! for Target.
Our grill was existing– we bought it last year, but if you’re in the market, it’s last year’s model of this one from Home Depot.
Now, back to the giveaway! Willa Skye is giving away one of the pillow covers from my space to a lucky withHEART reader! You can choose from either the coral or teal covers, in the 20×20 size.
This is outdoor fabric, but don’t think it only goes outdoors. Think easy spill clean up and inside durable. I loooooove outdoor fabric for indoor design. And she’s having an sale in her shop right now as well, so if you’re looking for darling designer pillow covers, this is a great resource.

Loving all your pillows and the outdoor drapery looks amazing! I’d for sure be using this pillow on my deck. It would be a welcome addition.
i’d love the teal pillow for our new (teeny tiny) outdoor space!
Well, now it’s so difficult but I’d love the corral color, to add to my “Rest Haven” gazebo. I just gave the cushions a new look and that would blend perfectly with them..
I’d actually use the pillow inside to give a little pop of color to my very bland beige couches.
I love your patio,! I would love some of these pillows for my own patio furniture.!
Love these pillows!! Definitely add a beautiful pop of color to any space! I would use these pillows to bring color (and happiness) while enjoying our patio furniture in our first home we move into in 3 weeks!
Yeah! We are in the middle of a patio makeover…searching for new patio furniture, and one these would be the perfect addition! (I’m following both of you too!)
I’d use the pillow in my lanai. I have newish cushions for the chairs & either of the pillows would look great.
Those pillows are amazing! I would definitely use them for my deck! we just bought a house and the deck is entirely barren. So where are those curtains from? Great idea… (and I’m following both of you)
so cute! I would use the pillow on my front porch.
I love your beautiful outdoor oasis! I would be sure to place that pillow on a new vintage porch swing. It needs some bright colors to become the inviting seat I know it can be!
Check out the swing!

I have been pillow obsessed lately! If chosen, I’d snag up the teal cover for my bed. It’d go great against the grey headboard and coral/grey/teal euro shams I just fluffed!
