HOW TO HONE MARBLE

My, what a week it’s been! One full of working on the family room bookshelves, chipping away at a million small things, starting summer classes with Ruby, and the most wonderful surprise from one of my design favorites: Domino.
Domino included withHEART on their 17 best DIY blogs. Holy moly, what an honor. Thank you, Domino! You can check out the feature here.
And remember the living room coffee table? I loved it so much, but there was something that was bothering me– the polished marble top. That’s the problem with a lot of marble pieces you find on Craigslist, or even marble countertops in your own home– it’s all polished. I’m more of a honed girl at heart.
You can pay to have it honed by a marble specialty shop, or, you can do as I did and hone it yourself. It is much simpler than you might think.
I shared how to hone marble with a full tutorial with Domino. So go find yourself some marble on the cheap and turn it into something beautiful!
I hope you all have a wonderful Father’s Day. I’m so grateful for my own dear dad and my sweet husband who is the best father to our Ruby girl. I’m so blessed to have these two men in my life.
