If you’re anything like me, you love a good look into someone else’s home. Not in a creepy way… ok, in a creepy way…. I just love seeing how other people decorate, design, and live. That’s why this blog tour (organized by Lindsey) is so awesome. You can be a creeper into some amazing homes, all out in the open! No shame! In fact, go on ahead– look at some gorgeous homes. Today I’m taking part in the holiday home tour.
If you’re coming over from Inspired By Charm, welcome! I think Michael’s styling is among the best. His perfectly staged spaces never cease to wow.
I’m opening my doors wide open and sharing several spaces styled for the holidays. Let’s start with the front porch. It was kind of perfectly snowing outside as I photographed away.
I started with the trees next to the door. They’re from Home Depot, and I spray painted the bases white. The rest of the trees are real, also from Home Depot. The logs were chopped from the trees we cut down in the yard and I saved them for this purpose. I couldn’t bear to throw them out.
Here are a couple more sources:
planters | wreath | plaid ribbon | lanterns (similar)
Moving indoors now…. a look at the upstairs mantle.
I kept things pretty simple for the mantle. It’s deceptively not as deep as you would think, so not a lot can layer onto the mantle. I went with faux branches, mainly because I didn’t want to have to worry about switching them out as I was setting up pretty early. The candlesticks and brass animals are vintage.
And now into the kitchen/dining/living area…
It just so happened the ladies from Mindy Mae’s Market asked to shoot their holiday catalog at the #staggreno (more on that later), so I set it up all pretty for a fake Christmas party. Here are the spoils.
We shot this right around Thanksgiving so I just switched a few things out from my Thanksgiving table scape and made it more Christmas. The rosemary sprigs on each plate not only smell wonderful, but they remind me of little Christmas trees.
The salt cellar is a little gift my father brought home from a business trip out of the country when I was little girl.
The brass ice bucket is vintage, as are the crystal candlesticks. You can find the table runner HERE.
My go-to centerpiece as of late is a bowl of pretty fruit. And cut citrus always makes your table smell heavenly.
Branches, faux again, are from Tai Pan Trading.
I love any excuse to bring out my collection of milk glass bowls, platters and cake plates. There are also a few colored glass items in there like that ruby red dish and the green tinted vintage glasses. That large cake plate is actually original to the #staggreno, believe it or not. It belonged to the owners and I picked it up at the estate sale before we started demo. The rest I’ve collected over time from antique shops and thrift stores. And there are a few Target finds in there like the marble cheese dish and the wood stump platter.
In the kitchen and living area, I kept things pretty simple and fresh, hanging wreaths in the windows/doors and throwing in some plaid pillows. I realized I haven’t really shared anything from the little living area adjacent to the kitchen and dining, so this will be a little sneak peek before I share all of the full room details!

“Oh WOW what a cool giveaway. My husband and I are approaching 70 soon, but we are young at heart! We currently live in Central FL, but we are preparing for a move to KC,MO next week.
We are buying a house that has been quite unloved and we will tackle painting the whole house, inside and out. OURSELVES!
I have run back and forth to my local BM and have chosen my key paint colors already!!!
This giveaway has come at the perfect time!!!!! I am, carefully, jumping for joy!”

Gosh how beautiful! Such amazing photos too. And your outside with all the snow!!!! I do have to admit that I’m jealous of all the snow. I’ve been waiting for some to fall here so I can go skiing but nothing yet. Love the gorgeous table setting too.
so modern and warm at the same time- love it! love the dining table, and i am jealous that you had snow in your shots! 🙂 everything looks beautiful!
Ha ha! Yep, we could be twins! 😉 The area around your home is absolutely picturesque… what a blessing to enjoy that view every day! And your home is beautiful, I’m especially loving your gorgeous table!
So sleek and stylish! Your new home is coming along amazing!! Nice job, SUPER Mama!
This is beautiful! I love that it’s simple (because a lot of Christmas tours feel a little “overdone” to me . . . like every single surface is COVERED in Christmas-related decor).
So pretty Jen! The snow outside couldn’t be more perfect. I wish we could have a white Christmas here. I love all the gorgeous greenery you’ve added throughout your home. And that tablescape is fantastic!
Jenn, this is such a beautiful tour! I’m in love with your new home and am so jealous of the snow! Here in SC, we sure don’t get much of that. So happy to have you!
love all of the fresh and faux greenery in your house! i also love your modern, fresh take on traditional christmas decor. so lovely!
I love your modern style!! It looks sleek and updated but still reflects the style of the home. Beautiful!
