As I get closer and closer to baby #2 delivery day, I’m also getting more and more stressed about finishing up all of the planning I can on the new house so that the move with a newborn goes as smoothly as possible. I’ve been busy selecting every single finish on the house– from every light fixture and faucet to paint colors, carpet, hardwood options, and finally room designs. While some of it will be a work in progress after move in day, there are two rooms that I want to completely design ahead of time to get the two most important people in our family feeling settled asap: the nursery and Ruby’s new big girl room.
We’ve planned that once we move into the new house, Ruby will graduate to a big girl bed. I want her to be excited about not only the new house, but her new room and being a big sister. I’m planning to incorporate a lot of the colors and decor from her nursery, but also want to give it a fresh look and feel. One of the first decisions that needed to be made was narrowing down big girl bed options.
Her nursery had a lot of pale mint and a punch of coral. I wanted to bring out more of the coral for her new room and decided to go with a coral bed. I mean, what little girl wouldn’t want a pink bed? I knew I wanted something upholstered and didn’t want to have to worry about DIYing it on top of everything else so I sourced some great options. Here are my favorite options:
Which one is your favorite? I’m excited to show you which one I went with, and the other special things I have planned for the space. I hope she goes crazy over it!
I love # 1, but you can’t go wrong 🙂
I really like 1 and 3 best. The height on 3 is perfect.
#5 is my fav 🙂
For sure….#1! The other ones seem a little bit to old….something you would put in a teen room. But #1 can grow with her and the curves have such a soft girly touch!
I diyed my daughter’s headboard, it looks similar to 2+3….all of your choices are cute. look forward to seeing what you went with!
I vote #1 or #6. Can’t wait to see your pick.
Love #3 or #6!
