HOW TO INSTALL A KITCHEN FAUCET (video)

July 9, 2014

Sorry for the delay this morning getting today’s post up.  We spent a very long sleepless night at the ER with Ruby after she spiked a scary fever.  She is on the mend  now, but we all have hospital hangover.  I’m so grateful for modern medicine and wonderful facilities like the children’s hospital in our area, Primary Children’s.

Today’s post is worth the wait.  I’m sharing the easiest way to install a kitchen faucet.  Plumbing can be intimidating, am I right?  You are probably tempted to hire everything out.  But there is a lot you can do yourself, and switching out a faucet is pretty simple.  Here’s how we did it:

Video/Editing: James Young

I wish you could have seen us all crammed under the sink.  Pretty comical.  James is always a trooper to jump in and shoot (or help out) with every project in whacky conditions.  One of the many reasons we love him.

I’m alllllllmost ready to reveal the entire kitchen.  It’s such a huge difference than the before.  Stay tuned…

Thank you so much for reading/watching!

The article is awesome! With the video, it is pretty easy to install a kitchen faucet.

  2. I have this same Kohler Simplice faucet shown in the pictures above and have no problems whatsoever with any splashing. On the contrary, my only issue (just like shelia) is that the pull-down faucet head is no longer staying in place. Otherwise, great faucet. This problem has gotten progressively worse over time and is quite irritating. I don’t know why Kohler doesn’t just redesign the pull-down to use a magnet . . . or something more reliable. Kohler — are you listening?!?
